Sicily is almost as big as Belgium. The east of Sicily offers a wide variety of landscape and scenic views, beaches of any shape and colour, the largest and less dangerous active volcano in Europe, a vast range of monuments and heritage sites, many cultural events. This is a huge territory and a place where all the dominating cultures in the history of western Europe have left their trace: apart from sea and the sun, you can see and do a lot down here in any season.
