Inland Sicily has a very dry climate, generally cooler than expected in Winter. The climate is mild all the year round along the coast!

you can walk on the mountains, ski on Mount Etna and have weekend breaks in colourful Sicilian towns! Traditional Nativity scenes are displayed in Caltagirone and Mineo. Important religious festivals are celebrated each year in the winter season, namely in
Siracusa (Santa Lucia, December 13th) and Catania (Sant'Agata, February 3rd to 5th)
