| EASY TRIPS TO THE TOP depart every day until 3 p.m. from the cableway station ("funivia") at the Etna Sud ski station and excursion centre, located 17 km north of Nicolosi. You can go there by car or using public transportation (go in the early morning, back in the early afternoon). You do not need any special equipment and you do not need to book in advance. Rates: 50 euro p/person. Duration: approx. 3 hours HIKING WITH GUIDES on the upper trails of Mt Etna is possible in Spring, Summer and Autumn. This is about walking for many hours on end: you need to have proper shoes and clothes. SKIING ON THE VOLCANO 10 km of skiing pistes, a ski lift, a 6 seat cableway, a double seat chair lift work 9:00 to 16:00. Daily pass for 25 euro.
